Aidan Greaves Makes History in Texas
December 4, 2023: Aidan Greaves, of Trinidad and Tobago, etched his name in the annals of Judo history by winning Gold at The 57th Annual Dallas Open Judo Championship and the following day Silver & Bronze at The 2023 Judo USA Presidents Cup both recently concluded in Irving, Texas USA. In a remarkable display of skill and determination, Greaves made an unprecedented mark by competing and excelling in not just one but two categories simultaneously in the latter tournament.
At the 57th Annual Dallas Open Judo Championships, Greaves won First Place Gold in his final match after winning all of his supporting matches by ippon, an impressive feat. Even more remarkable is that each victory was achieved in under 45 seconds.
His exceptional performance so captivated the audience and fellow competitors alike, that it earned him the prestigious title of Outstanding Junior Male Competitor.
