Queens Park Judo Club Opens 2026 With Dynamic Demonstration at UWI
March 23, 2026: The Queens Park Judo Club (QPJC) kicked off its first Judo demonstration of 2026 — its second since November 2025 — at the Centre for Language Learning (CLL), The University of the West Indies, on Saturday, March 14th. The session offered another welcome opportunity to showcase the art of Judo and, by extension, Japanese culture, a mission the club is always proud to support.
The event was hosted by the faculty of the CLL, a long-standing partner in cultural education and an important contributor to cultural awareness initiatives across Trinidad and Tobago.
QPJC members Paul Wyatt (sho-dan) and Joshua Creese (ni-kyu) led the demonstration with skill and precision. Behind the scenes, support was provided by Samaria Noel (yon-kyu) and Shemar Biggart (san-kyu), who assisted with photography and logistics.
The Queens Park Judo Club extends its appreciation to Shiho Arakawa sensei and the dedicated staff of the CLL for including the club in this event and for their continued collaboration in promoting Judo and cultural exchange.
