Sensei Mark Littrean expresses his love and gratitude ….
Happy Sunday, everyone!
Yesterday was a good day. Results are still out on membership, of course, because it's only when people join that we will see if we were successful with that. Nevertheless, from what I heard and saw, people were impressed with the [Together 2024] skit and thoroughly entertained. Even the Japanese were appreciative and didn't expect the presentation to be so beautifully done yesterday.
Congratulations to Keegan, our writer/director/narrator, on a professional and fantastic job! He was ably supported by his cast of judoka and kendoka and by the Embassy of Japan. Thanks to all the parents and QPJC members who chipped in one way or the other with donations, fliers, T-shirts, managing the kids, backstage work, our booth design and setup, and managing the booth.
I had a great time, it was a lot of fun for me, and I hope for everyone else too. I didn't expect it to be as memorable as this. It just goes to show how amazing our QPJC network is. Something we haven't really tapped into over the 28 years the club has been around. Everything in its own time.
Our list of amazing people: -
1) Keegan Taylor
2) Mason Benjamin
3) Olivia Benjamin
4) Cidalia Borde-Pires
5) Ky-Lynn Smith
6) Benicio Viscuña
7) Issa Viscuña
8) Xavier Jones
9) Anneliese Littrean
10) Paul Wyatt
11) Stacy Joseph
12) Sean Lawrence
13) Melissa Scott
14) Rachel Smith
15) Daena Viscuña
16) Susan Leung
17) Marc Leung
18) Christine Low
All of whom selflessly did their parts at a cost to themselves.
If I missed anyone on this list, please take heart in knowing that your contribution helped to make this event a success for all of us.
Finally, a special thanks to the Embassy of Japan for giving us the opportunity and honour to show judo to the public, with the freedom to express this artistically. ❤️
Thank you all 🙏👏❤️
